It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. For the convenience of our patients we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. A further savings of 5 percent of your fee can be obtained by paying in full at the beginning of treatment. We will thoroughly explain your options before treatment begins, so that we can best accommodate your particular financial needs.
Payment Plans
Yes, we do offer payment plans to help make orthodontic treatment more affordable. We don't charge any interest and will spread the payments out in order to lower your monthly payment. We do our best to bring braces within financial reach of families who may need to have multiple members in braces at the same time by offering family discounts. If you're worried that treatment will be too expensive, come in and see what we can work out for you. You will be surprised!
If you ever have any questions, our courteous financial team members are just a phone call, e-mail or office visit away.
Insurance- We'll do it for you! If you have orthodontic insurance you will have a further reduction in your out-of-pocket orthodontic costs. Nearly all orthodontic insurance policies have what is called a lifetime orthodontic benefit or "maximum" for each insured family member. This is very different than how most dental insurance works and can be confusing. It's very important to note that this amount will usually be paid by your insurance company regardless of whether the orthodontist providing care is in network or out of network/preferred provider or not a preferred provider for your insurance company. Insurance companies often make this fact hard to discover, so don't be mislead. In most cases you will get your full benefit regardless of which orthodontist you select provided the claim is processed correctly and in a timely fashion. Insurance policies do vary in other aspects and we will review your insurance with you to determine the appropriate course of action to maximize your benefits. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims for you at no additional cost, saving you a great deal of time and frustration. Insurance companies can be difficult to work with, after all, they stand to profit from delaying or denying your claims and generally take any opportunity to do so. We have two dedicated team members who are experts at dealing with insurance companies to get you your full benefits. It's all part of our great customer service at Hawkins Orthodontics.
FSAs/HSAs/Cafeteria Plans
We will also help you to fully utilize your employer-sponsored Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Cafeteria Plans to allow you to pay for treatment with pre-tax income. That's right, if your employer offers these plans you can pay for orthodontics (and many other medical and dental expenses) with pre-tax dollars. Depending on your tax bracket, that could stretch your orthodontic dollars by anywhere from 10% to 35%! To allow us to better help you with your insurance and FSA/HSA/Cafeteria Plan filings, please complete the insurance questions on our new patient questionnaire and see if your employer offers FSA, HSA or caferteria plans. Please also bring any applicable insurance documentation/cards that you may have to you first visit.
